Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how [Company legal name], located at [address] ("RoofN," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website builder and ranking service (the "Service"). It covers two kinds of visitors: (1) you, as a RoofN account holder, when you use roofn.app or your RoofN dashboard, and (2) visitors to a website RoofN built and hosts for one of our customers. For websites RoofN builds for a customer, that customer (the roofing business) is generally responsible for how it uses the leads, calls, and messages its own site collects, and RoofN acts as its service provider in operating the site's forms, chat, SMS, and voice features on the customer's behalf. If you are a visitor with a question about a specific roofing business's website, please also check that business's own contact information.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in a few ways:

• Account information you provide when you sign up: name, email, and password (or Google account, if you sign in with Google).
• Business information you provide for your website: company name, services, service area, license and insurance details, photos, and similar content. This information is also used as an input to the AI models that draft, fact-check, and answer chat, SMS, and voice questions about your business (see Section 4).
• Payment information, handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe. RoofN never stores your full card number.
• Usage and diagnostic data, collected automatically through our error-monitoring provider, Sentry, to help us find and fix bugs.
• Connected-account data, if you choose to connect your Google Business Profile or Google Search Console account: basic profile, location, and search-performance data from those Google services, used only to power the related dashboard features.
• SEO and ranking dataabout your business's (and your competitors' public) search visibility, obtained through our SEO data provider, to power your rankings dashboard. This does not include data about your site's individual visitors.
• Lead and visitor datasubmitted through your website's forms, click-to-call links, on-site chat, SMS, or AI phone answering, which we make available to you as the site owner. We collect a deliberately minimal set of automatic on-site analytics (such as page views and whether a visitor started a chat, call, or form) to show you how your site is performing; we do not log full visitor IP addresses, full browser/device fingerprints, or a persistent cross-site visitor identifier, and we honor "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control browser signals by not recording an analytics event at all when they are present.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to:

• Build, host, and operate your website and dashboard.
• Draft, fact-check, and publish content, and power on-site chat, SMS, and voice answers, against the business details you provided.
• Process payments and manage your subscription.
• Track and report your search-engine and AI-assistant visibility.
• Monitor for and fix technical problems.
• Communicate with you about your account and the Service.
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. Who we share information with

We share information with the service providers that make RoofN work, and only to the extent each needs it to perform its function. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not allow these providers to use your information for their own advertising purposes.

• Stripe — payment processing and billing.
• Supabase — database, file storage, and account authentication.
• Resend — sending account, billing, lead-notification, and report emails.
• Anthropic and OpenAI— generating and fact-checking your website and blog content, and powering AI-based chat, SMS, and voice answers grounded in your business information.
• OpenAI, Google, and Perplexity— used to check whether and how your business is mentioned when we scan AI assistants for your visibility report. Your public business information may be included in these queries.
• DataForSEO — retrieving public search-ranking and keyword data for your rankings dashboard.
• Google — only if you connect your Google Business Profile or Google Search Console account, to read and (for Business Profile) post updates on your behalf.
• Twilio — sending and receiving SMS messages for your business's AI text-answering feature.
• Vapi — answering inbound calls to your business's AI phone-answering feature.
• Sentry — error monitoring, to help us find and fix bugs.
• Our hosting providers, and, when legally required, law enforcement or other authorities.

5. Cookies and tracking

On roofn.app and your RoofN dashboard, we use a minimal set of cookies required to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising trackers on this marketing site or in the dashboard.

On websites RoofN builds and hosts for customers, we do not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers. As described in Section 2, we record a minimal, privacy-conscious set of on-site analytics events to help the site owner understand traffic and lead activity, and we honor "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control signals by not recording those events at all.

6. Data retention

We retain your account and business information for as long as your subscription is active, and for a limited period after cancellation so you can request an export, after which it may be deleted from our systems. Lead and analytics data collected through a customer's website is retained on a similar basis, tied to that customer's subscription.

7. Your privacy rights

You can access, correct, export, or request deletion of your account information at any time from your dashboard, or by emailing support@roofn.app. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we hold about you, request its deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. As noted above, we do not sell personal information. We will respond to verified requests within the time required by applicable law. If you are a visitor to a website RoofN built for one of our customers and want to exercise a privacy right over data that business collected (for example, a lead form submission), please contact that business directly, or contact us and we will help route your request.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@roofn.app and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Where information is processed

We and our service providers listed in Section 4 are based in and process information in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email before they take effect.
